Ok, we all know about Disney World, Epcot and MGM but what else is there to do in Florida? Well Universal Studios has two of its own parks in Orlando, plus they are building their own Harry Potter Hogsmead Village. And when you are ready to party at night, you can go to City Walk and have great food at one of their many restaurants and listen to fantastic music in one of the many clubs and bars that they have to offer.
Or if you are in the mood for a truly unusual experience, make a reservation at Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins. The price is a bit high but you get to swim with dolphins, view all of the other animals, play in their pools and have all of your food and beverages covered. Not a bad deal. Just call ahead because this books up really fast.
For those of you with a bit more time and who don't mind driving, there are even more options. You can go to Tampa to gamble in the Hard Rock Hotel Casino. Play the slots or the table games like black jack and Texas Hold'em. Or you can head south to Miami and party on South Beach at some of their trendy clubs. Or way down south to the keys, where you can party with the locals at one of their many local bars. Or you can head out to Napels and see an Irish pub that was brought in piece by piece directly from Ireland. Have a pint of Guiness at the exact perfect temperature and then stay upstairs at the Inn so you can enjoy yourself safely before stumbling upstairs.
And if you are a nature lover, head down to Sannibel or Marco Island. Both are peaceful havens where you can see nature undisturbed. If you take one of their boat rides, you will often find dolphins playfully jumping up behind you. Take long strolls down the beach, collect sea shells and work on that tan, while being served tropical drinks by your hotel staff.
There is plenty to do in the Sunshine State, from swimming at the many beaches to exploring our exciting theme parks. It simply depends on what your classification of fun is. You can choose the laid back life style or the thrill of some of our roller coasters. The choice is yours and there is obviously a lot to choose from.
