Daytona Skiing Rules Makes Skiing Simple And Safe
Water skiing is a thrilling adventure sports. Visitors to Florida enjoy partaking in this sport. The Daytona Beach in the city is the nerve centre of water skiing activity. In this game an individual, wearing skis, is pulled behind a motor boat or a cable ski installation over a water body. With the help of the ski the person keeps skimming the surface of the water in an upright position while holding the tow rope tied to the moving boat.
Water skiing involves some risk. However, when you follow some basic rules you can enjoy a comfortable and exciting ride. Florida skiing rules attempts to minimize the risks involved.
Important Rules
• Every rider must wear a personal floatation device or life jacket.
• A third person other than the driver of the boat should perform the job of a spotter. The driver should look ahead and not behind.
• The towline must always be checked before the ride begins.
• Drivers are advised to maintain a reasonable, safe speed at all times. They must watch out for other boats and watercraft.
• Driver must steer clear of docks and give wide berths to boats and people who are fishing.
Other Cautions
• Never ski after dark. It is very risky.
• Do not water-ski under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Use hand signals to communicate with the observer.
More often than not, a skier takes a tumble mid stream. When a skier falls, drivers are advised to return without delay. This is because other boaters may not easily see the skier in the water and ram into them. This may lead to serious accidents. Moreover the presence of your boat may keep other boats away from that area. But before returning or pulling the skier on board, it is advisable to, get into the water to support the skier.
